  • That looks great! I like the big Volume controls. Can you switch between different setups for different songs with this? Does it send PC messages?

I'am using iMIDI-Patchbay as surface and behind it I run

    • Gallileo 2
    • Module
    • Gadget
    • FM player
    • Model D

I'd like to incorporate the new D1 Synth. But the current version is not stable and crashes on my iPad 9,7 when I try to play too many notes.

I am pretty satisfied with my setup since it is really cool to choose just the right song from the setlist and have everything properly layed out for a gig or a rehearsal. That was my initial thought not to be in the need to always transport my stage piano around (~20kg) but only an iPad and have some cheap MIDI controller (have an M-Audio 61) in the rehearsal room.

I use a Korg PlugKey with a USB power supply to power the iPad. It still does not prevent the iPad from loosing power, but I guess I can use this setup for about six houres that way which I have not yet reached in one session. I like the PK very much especially the audio output with a volume control but I am also looking for an alternative device with MIDI out to be able to also control my master keyboard with iMIDI-Patchbay. Also looked at the iConnect MIDI 2+ and it has everything MIDI-wise but it lacks the audio-out the PK has :( I would need to use audio from the headphone jack from the iPad. It may not really differ from the PK output quality wise but still I would feel to have lost a feature the PK had.

    Irgendwas ist immer.
