Audio Damage, as you can see, is the best when it comes to AU effects. Those are the three staples for me (reverb, delay, chorus) but their other offerings are all quality too. If you need convincing, their FuzzPlus 3 and Rough Rider compressor are free with no strings attached.

Oh, and if you like weird and experimental, check out apeDelay and apeFilter by apeSoft.

  • Strangely enough I turn to Virsyn AudioEffx for bread'n'butter audio effects.
The order of the effects can be easily changed, it's quite easy on the CPU and to my ears they are quite good.

I use all the Blamsoft AU FX pretty regularly. Most other effects I use are built in ones in AUM or BM3. I also run FLUX:FX which is IAA.

I love (LOVE!) the sound quality of Audio Damage stuff but various things have made me unconfident in their stability, so while I do use them they’re not my chosen children. I usually swap them out live for more stable and processor efficient alternatives (although I do run Eos2 sometimes, if I have time to properly test the stability of my current setup).
