I had this thing happen to me way too many times where i have some link app open, then when i open blocs wave, blocs wave loads the last session automatically and changes it tempo according to link. Few times i have just giving up trying to figure out what the original tempo was, so basically it fucked my blocs wave projects..
It doesent make sense to change the earlier opened apps tempo according to what has been opened after it.

So in the end, the only thing that makes any sense about this is to ask, or have link turn off automatically on new apps if link is active elsewhere(which isnt ideal either).

  • Open Blocwaves first with your project. That way the tempo will be set properly and everything else will use its tempo.

You come into a room, someone is playing, you join and pick up the tempo
Easy and uncomplicated as apple pie.

    No open questions.

If this is messing with your original session tempo, just add it’s bpm to its name,
so you will remember what the original tempo of the project was. ;) hint hint ;)

I have been doing this lately. It is a bit of another pickle, should an app save with the new tempo from link or just keep its source tempo...? But yah, filenames works.

Oh, we are on to something here.
Ask me when quitting if I want to overwrite the tempo with link tempo!
    That doesn’t interrupt me.

There is autosaving too to deal with... and apps are swiped closed... pickle!

  • I learned to name my project and include the Bpm in case it happens; it happens to me too :s

I never understood why the BPM on BM3 would change when I'm adding a synth to the program. I've often forgotten the original BPM and find myself tapping tempo frantically before I lose my mojo. :'( :'( :'(

Should automatically take the tempo of the first or even the previous linked app.

  • Sometimes I want apps to not be slaved to each others BPM - often can create interesting results.
I do like the choice of working however I want ;)
