I've tested it in conjunction with the ifiles app and a 2TB maxtor portable drive and you can import direct from the hard drive into AudioShare or Cubasis
Also works with a 64gb sd card
It's also got a useful feature whereby you connect your iPad to it , but you connect it to your normal wifi so you can continue to use the internet without having to constantly log in and out
