Which midi controller are you using with BM3 (or Gadget, Beathawk)?
I have a Keystep already but looking for something with pads/knobs and am curious what you guys are using.

Just picked up an Akai MPD218 which maps nicely with it's 4x4 set of pads

One of my controller configurations with Beatmaker 3

I have a vestax pad one, launchcontrol xl as primary targets but I still not get into it due to some missing features and lazyness. If I find resources and strenght I will love to build this from launchkey 49 mk2 parts.
Novation LaunchStation. Battery powered, somewhat portable.
what's the tray?
It’s a caddy/case I made. The idea is to have a single unit that holds 3 controllers, battery, hub, audio input/output and a mini recorder/microphone as well as an iPad. And importantly, to avoid cable hell.
I screwed up the settings on my wife’s laser cutter and ruined some nice matte black acrylic, so this clear version is just to hold me over until I get some more.
It's a great idea, I was hoping it was something you bought. We don't all have wives with laser cutters
Nice set-up @TheMediocritist takes me back to the wooden thing I made for my ZX81 to keep it's RAM pack in place.
Yes, it was a long time ago.
I also love my Launchkey Mini ... It Just Works.
Works great with ios

Looks good. Is it Bluetooth? Curious since it's called "Air."
If you’re interested I can share the plans as a ready-to-cut PDF file (once I’ve reworked a couple of bits), along with assembly instructions. You can pay a local or online laser cutting service to do the cutting, then it’s just a matter of slotting it together and squirting a bit of acetone along the joins to weld it.
A home made wooden thing, how posh, most of us made do with bluetac you know
Noob question: how do you have more than USB controller going into the iPad at once? Is it a USB hub? If so, does iPad allow you to use more than one at a time or do you have to switch between them?
I am not alone with the terrible tiles.......
glad I am moving in a week though..LOL
sweet setup - and I kind of like your terrible tiles (especially the out of place one at the bottom) -
but I mostly am digging that BIG WOODEN CRATE holding up your launchpad...
not only does it look cool, but -
it's rustic
uh-oh... that looks like the rotor knobs? (my most disappointing $50 purchase in recent memory... lol)
