BeatHawk 2.1.1 update

Hi.

Very happy when I've seen this update (I own one iPad4), but when trying to update the screen shows "Beathawk is not comatible with this iPad" (well, in Spanish...).

Does anyone else update the app yet on his iPad4 without issues?

Thanks at advance.

  • I think it's 64 bit only. Can't update my iPhone5 either.

  • Same goes for KRFT and Auxy. We've gone overboard and the ship is slowly cruising away.

  • This is odd because it is supposed to be a compatibility update for older iPads?
Anyway, on newer iPads it breaks the app icon  somethings seems to have gone wrong with the build I assume

  • It is strange. In the case of KRFT and BH, I get a popup that "10.3.3 is required", which I am currently running. Might need to rattle some chains to see what exactly is going on.

    Updated today to v.2.1.2

Spanish store still shows v.2.1.1 update, so I can't confirm if it does solve the issue or not.

Anyway, info on description is a bit confusing:

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Did any one else lose the app icon? Not sure what our friends at uvi have been smoking recently ...

No Beathawk icon on my iPad Pro 12.9" gen2 (2017) and iOS 11.0...

    Hi again.

Finally, I deleted the app and reinstalled it when Spanish Store showed v.2.1.2

Warning message: "It requires iOS 9.3.5 or later, would you try to download a previous version of the app?"

My iPad 4 is running iOS 9.3.5 so...I have to say "yes" anyway, because actually there's no choice.

The apps is now reinstalled, restoring purchases, but I don't know what version it is.

I'll send another email to UVI asking for some help as well.

  • Maybe this is more AppStore craziness?

Most likely. I have the same issue downloading Google Drive to my iPhone 5 which is running iOS10.3.3. It installed perfectly without issues on my iPad AIr 2 which is running iOS11.0.1. But my iPhone 5 is in 'limbo mode' after installing the compatible version it insists there is an update and repeats...

  • That app icon looks sick!. Love it!

  • Same comes up for AUM

  • My BeatHawk says 2.1.0(5) and no update is offered in the Appstore.
I haven't bought any soundpacks. Maybe that is why my version number is lower than other people's version?

Seem like the App Store has a case of hicup... I deleted and reinstalled to get the latest version... I did not have much saved stuff to lose...

Read somewhere there was a way to import midi.

  • Word it shows up on my iPhone App Store but not iPad.

Yeah that worked for me too. :) It says 2.12(1) now. Thank you.

  • Well, I don't know if I'm running 2.1 or 2.1.1 because the store is asking for updating to 2.1.2 but, again, "BeatHawk is not compatible with this iPad".

For the record, I connected UVI support and they're warned there is a thread about this issue in this forum.

I've got that same icon showing on another of my apps that was recently updated (not BeatHawk). I think it is some sort of blank holder that iOS displays when something goes wrong with an icon update.

I just did the Beathawk update and my app icon is still the same as before. You might need to delete and redownload the app to get the proper icon back.

I suppose I’ll have to live with the broken icon, as I really don’t fancy reinstalling and re-downloading all my IAP content.

  • So is this a new update from the most recent one?

  • I’m having trouble getting any midi to go into beathawk. I tried several apps, and checked midi settings in beathawk and the other midi apps. non thing else works. anyone else having this problem?

Isn’t beathawk just midi out? How are you importing it?

  • No, it has midi in. Working fine here.

@eross - details of your setup?

i’m sending midi from krft into beathawk on channel 1. I have beathawk selected in both for midi. but notes are not showing up in beathawk. it’s weird. it used to work

  • I just set it up through audiobus, and it works fine. must just be glitchy outside of audiobus. oh well. this works for me quite nicely.

  • Works OK for me outside audiobus too. Maybe background audio not enabled?
