BM3 IAP
Hello all, does anyone know if the very impressive IAP’s in BM3 ever go on sale? I ask because I want them all! Bundles are not an offered option. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Elektrik Diva

I don't know about the planned sale calendar but,...I wouldn't call them very impressive. If anything, they are super overpriced for their quality/quantity of content. I won't buy another unless it is on sale.
I tend to think several are worth it.
I find the niche sounds if you dig them are really good. No, it is no toolbox of multi sounds and extravaganzas but it is quality if a person has some extra coin and likes easy macro set up.
I have all of the synths and the drum IAP.
I love all except the Poly remake.
It's worth looking at IAPs and (available user made presets on the web) for BM2 as well. There's riches even in the stuff BM2 shipped with...fairly easy now to make the conversion.
Have to agree. I try to be an optimist & follow the old "don't say nothing if it ain't nice" bit but the BM3 IAP's are a bit much. There's several I want to try but i my mind I'm like "Should'nt some of these be included with the app from jumpstreet?" Cubasis & Auria have a few cool instruments included but BM3 real lean in that regard...no included synth, no piano, nothing but a few pieces of a hiphop kit and keys from a few packs.
I'm a sucker for Ludwig drums and love getting more samples of them. I bought the BM3 Ludwig kit and walked away disappointed. There's all sorts of acoustic drum samples & Ludwig in particular free online that I liked more than the BM3 pack. Not to say they aren't useful but they just kinda sound "meh", nothing amazing. It makes me second guess what the other packs will truly sound like aside from the demo tones.
Just bought some bundles and I have to say...the preset are amazing. But it is important to tweak them a bit using the macros that are also available with the presets.
I love many of the IAP for BM3. The sounds often make good use of the BM3 fx and are set up and ready for use ‘out of the box’ more often then not. I just have found so many of them of actual use within my little mixes.
So, while at first I was “Hey, they are expensive”, now I’m “Hey that’s another sound that fits” - obviously tastes vary. I’ve wasted quite a lot of money on some apps and IAPs in iOS land, but the BM3 sounds have been well worth it.
Can the presets from BM2 be easily imported over to BM3? Anyway to do this? What is a macro? A preset?
I think import of bmk2s is now possible without conversion, as of an update or two ago...I haven’t tried, I shipped all of my stuff in using a file renaming app on desktop...
Macros are dials in the keyboard view that can be assigned to parameter values in your instruments, as in parameters in instruments from IAPs, AUv3 instrument parameters, or parameters in sampler instruments you’ve built, ie any value from the sampler page. They also can be any parameter from the mixer, or fx. Basically you double tap any dial anywhere in the app and it can be assigned to a macro dial, and several parameters across the app can be assigned to a single macro. Nice for performance, and automation.
Presets in BM3 are anything you save and name as a bank, or the preset banks and instruments from IAP
In terms of shipping BM2 banks and instruments to BM3, BM2 has nice Dropbox integration, and Dropbox and BM3 both have nice Files app integration, so Tinkers to Evers to Chance...I used iMazing on PC
Thank you for that Littlewood!
Just to add. Do a small amount at a time when exporting to Dropbox. I tried to send over one of the large IAP from BM2 and it doesn’t work well. Looks like it’s uploading but always crashed at some point before finishing the process. Might be that a faster internet could help though.
My pleasure, hope it’s of use. After writing the above I realized BM3 also let’s you separately save presets for effects and modulations, as well as templates for your midi mapping and focus actions.
Even fastish internet doesn’t help much - I resort to iMazing/PC for all bulk moves.
