Audio-Technica....Kinda OT, kinda 'on' , sorta.
I have been a Beach Boys fan sense I was about 8 years old. Recently I got the 50 year ann. disc set with a nice huge-mongus book to go with it. I usually take out the beach boys discs around spring time and listen to them in prep. for summer. Wisconsin has some nasty winter weather...... But, I have been listening to the Beach Boys exclusively for the past 3 weeks or so.
I also got their 2012 release "That's why God made the radio". It is near perfect. Such a great album. The only thing missing is Carl. Man that guy could sing.
Anyway.......Check this video out. Brian and Al J. in the studio, using Audio-Technica Headphones! I think everyone got em on. It's cool to me to see some professionals using the same headphones I have/use. Especially one of my favorite bands!
Side note: The guy in the left portion of the video, singing the higher parts that Brian used to do, is Al Jardine's son.

Al's mike is AT as well I think.
Oh ya, good catch.
Which model...?
Looks like an AT5040.
Like the $3,000.00 one. woah, I'd love to use one of those.
Just write a few hits, like Brian did, and you can have a locker full.
BTW I watched Love and Mercy last weekend, it was great. I never knew Pet Sounds had flopped, or that Brian Wilson spent a big chunk of his life a virtual prisoner to his psychiatrist.
...of headphones...?
Probably ATH-M50
I have not watched that, I need/want to. I've read some of a biography "I Am Brian Wilson". I think I may get it from the library at some point. I forget the name of the disease, or effect of the overuse of the psychiatric drugs he was on, I think in the 80's. Deff. is suffering from that.
I never knew Pet Sounds flopped either until about 3 weeks ago. That is crazy. Also crazy, John Cusack playing B. Wilson. Cool...... I still remember him in Better off dead and One crazy Summer. Pure gold!
