Anyone use a Presonus iTwo interface?
I need to buy a new iPad interface. I’m currently looking at getting the Presonus iTwo. Does anyone use one and can tell me if it’s any good please? Cheers

I used to use one, quite liked it. It can be used with a powered USB hub as well as the ‘normal’ way as they describe the iPad should be plugged in.
Thanks mate. How were the preamps?
I found it satisfactory but I do much more live work than studio, so I’m not the best to comment on that.
The processed bass parts from these two tracks were recorded through the itwo (then out of its outputs into the studio desk)

Thanks mate nice one
I did previously and found it just fine, although the external power requirement was a little
fiddly. Everything rock solid, worked fine, and as a plus it seems sturdy enough to kill a man.
I use one. Works as advertised and completely problem-free
I actually did have some problems with it, but only when I pushed processor use too far (and while using it with a powered hub - not it’s intended method for functioning). Basically if it sat at the edge of processor overload for 15 or so minutes then it’d go into ‘perma glitch mode’ and need to be powered off and on to resume function. Running an iCA the same way I’d get glitches from processor spikes of course, but I’ve never had it get stuck in glitch hell.
I had to run a lot of apps on an Air2 to get that to happen though and performed dosens of concerts and remote sessions with it (PreSonus Capture is great for tracking!) without issue. Great device.
Thanks guys!
I have it and like it. Especially that it has old time midi in and out. Any audio interface that doesn't have midi is bad news for ios, because you just have the one lightning input. It's also cool it has switches for high impedance, to use the 1/4" ins with a guitar plugged in, and it won't wreck the tone.
The only thing I'm not crazy about, and it is such a small thing, is that the knob that does the monitoring of the inputs vs output from the ipad, is that it sums the two inputs to mono (just for the monitoring). This means, when using the ipad purely as an effects unit, I had to do dry/wet mixing digitally, on the ipad, rather than with the knob, if I wanted the dry to remain stereo.
It makes sense that they did it this way, so if you plug in a mic, and start singing, you don't want it to come out of one ear. They would have had to add a rather confusing mono/stereo switch to the monitor section to satisfy my use. There are other audio interfaces with more elaborate monitor mixing. Those usually have an app to do the mixing anyway (like the iconnect), rather than a knob on the box.
The only problem, of the unit not being recognized, that I had with it was from using an el cheapo lightning cable from frys. The issues went away when when I switched cables.
I use one and it sounds really good. I think that for some reason the irig hd2 sounds a bit more clear and punchy but with the itwo you get 2 XLR/1/4" combos and midi in/out. For the price you can't beat it
