I was all absolutely not until I ran into the Rasta logo......:)
Uh oh...a new fancy-striker. Those faders are handsome as hell.
I think it’s gonna be a hit. And, I haven’t tried all the controls, but most (if not all) can be automated in BM3.
Interesting indeed @skiphunt Clear emphasis on those LFOs, intriguing. What’s it compare to?
I don’t think I have anything quite like it. I vaguely remember Doug eluding to already being familiar with it, so I bet he’s got another video ready to fire off in the chamber.
I’d make a little video, but unfortunately I made the mistake of updating to High Sierra today without doing a fresh backup first. Had to wipe the drive and start fresh. Lost everything for the last couple of months, but fortunately I’ve been spending most of my time in iOS lately and didn’t really lose all that much. Just a huge time drain. But, at least I’m running my desktop on an fresh install. I’ve been running off an updated, upgraded, updated, upgraded house of OS cards for about 5 years. Feels good to be forced into a clean install.
Well, back to deleting 2 months worth of spam email.
Not sure how much more my dopaminergic system can take.
Do you have a time machine application for your computer backed up to an external hard drive ?
I'm not sure if I want to become any more Italian!
I do, and I’m mostly back. I just got lulled into pretty much all of my OS X updates/upgrades going so smooth over the last few years, that I got lazy and careless by not doing a fresh time machine backup. My update to High Sierra froze up about 25% in. I read others with the issue being able to force a restart and pick up where they left off. I wasn’t so lucky. Completely corrupted boot block. Wasn’t even showing data anymore. I might’ve been able to bring it back, but I decided it’d be better to go clean and take the loss for peace of mind.
I think what caused it was a leftover kext file that I never got rid of after upgrading to an SSD before the OS officially supported it. Evidently the High Sierra installer wasn’t smart enough to ignore it and just catastrophically locked up knee deep into the install.
Not a huge deal, but a lot more time consuming than I wanted to commit to. I should be more or less up and ready with all the long overdue housekeeping done by midday tomorrow. My eyes are burning from watching paint dry most of the day. Turning in to give them a rest.
555.3 BPM? Is this a new music genre I somehow missed?
New frontiers etc. 120 is so last decade.
ah, that bpm get me on the track... could be a platter echo machine based on a Meazzi, made in Italy in the sixties.
Works like a tape echo, but uses a rotating disk instead.
I have an emulation of such a thing that can do even 3000 bpm.
Those high speeds can be used as fake rooms or comb filters.
Italizer is for creating those wild dub style siren effects that have tons of echo and insane control, you can assign the xy pads to anything, so mixing the two LFOs makes for some incredibly complex effects, you have one oscillator but it’s super rich
That sounds really interesting!
@Telefunky - is this Meazzi emulation software?
Is it available anywhere?
obviously it's still available, but needs a Scope DSP system (PCI card like the UAD things) to run. Here's a pic and description:

Even more convincing is his Vintage Delay, which is the only true tape emulation I know.

Great for that Abbey Roads tape trick if you set feedback to zero. Beats the UAD hands down.
ot: the cards are dead cheap (patience applies as some are way overpriced), so it's still a valid option. Software is licensed per card and all pre version 5 licences aren't transferable, so you have to watch out that the seller includes the proper keyfile for all his stuff.
Many sellers have a lot of keys, so you may get a very powerfull system for bargain.
just remembered
this is from the Meazzi fake to spice up a guitar at 1780 bpm, 1st half dry, 2nd 100% wet
head 1/3 panned left right, head 2 center, no feedback (to avoid combing)
(it was demo for someone to give an idea how to process his guitar)
I’m going to need to be super rich with all this great gear dropping ...
Love the logo and the dub madness. I’ll keep an eye on this.
Thanks for sharing!

Oh dear! Glad to hear it’s working out. Very tiring for you. I haven’t updated yet to high sierra...think I’ll get my big brother to do it for me so if anything goes amuck I’ll know who to blame...Apple!
Lol. The name is awesome.
Looks like it’s $4.99 but I don’t know if that’s a launch sale or not.

Any match for the Mighty DubSiren DX?
I don't have that one. And, frankly... since I'm not really into Dub or rasta stuff so much, and saw the "dub siren" preset, I was like, "Meh, this isn't probably for me". However, after playing/testing it and likely not using it as intended, it became really interesting. As with any app, it won't be for everyone, but I'm diggin' it. I bet Doug will have a video on this soon enough. I've mostly been getting a cool sound going, then filtering through more fx, then playing the x/y pad to add more expressive dynamics.
Try googling 'ital' instead! Makes more sense that way
This.
So this was that Mystery app Doug said we gonna love he obviously been beta in it.
I love this app! Right up my street. Is the developer on the forum? Sample import and AUM/AB3 FX slot pleeeeeaaaase!
Nice one.
