Matrix velocity; school me

Please explain what choosing velocity does as a source modualtion with a destination to either pitch, filter cutoff, lfo or whatever you like in a modulation matrix.
Also will there be a difference if im using a midi controller (velocity sensing) OR just playing via the ipad screen (no velocity sensing)?
Thx

You'd have to use a source that sends velocity. How hard you hit the note will determine how much the pitch, filter, or lfo is affected. In the matrix you set up how much the velocity affects the destination. So if you turn the matrix all the way up and hit the note as hard as you can, the destination will jump to the highest value. The filter will go completely open or the pitch will go to the highest frequency possible for that destination.

    Make sense?

  • Sure does, thx!!
