Bm3 Whhhhhyyyyyyy
Let me start by saying I do believe in BM3! It truly has the possibility to be my all time favorite music making tool......but I just spent around an hour and a half chopping some samples and layering a kit and sketching out a beat and all of a sudden it just cut off! I thought no problem it will be auto saved but no luck! So I look in unsaved sessions and only the original sample was there! I don’t have a problem making new things but that one was pretty good. Oh well on to the next and I have to remember to save often but I was getting into the flow and forgot. I have confidence that they will iron out the few remaining bugs and make this a truly solid app! Don’t worry BM3 I still love you I just had to vent a little!

Yeah happened to me on my Digitakt a few weeks ago, made a really great beat and was gutted when it froze and lost the whole song
Its the world of digital
Anyone working professionally on any computer / software program where large amount of time is invested in a project - or it is ideas based, they save often = religiously !
It has been this way for nearly 30 years.
Agree.
Hate to say it, but in this day and age, apps should really do an invisible, separate save every minute or so, and when they recognize that they crashed, restore the last AutoSave when launched again. My 2c...
Not a bad idea
A terrible thing to happen, and to have travelled so far as to not remember how you got there. I remember Mr AudioDamage saying he was always surprised when software works for more than 15 minutes without crashing. Us users see things from another, more idealistic, pov maybe.
OT Although certainly not the first to use the expression, whenever I see 'a lot' I immediately think of Mr Haq. Ive been brainwashed by a Swede
If we could only buy briefly were able to see or imagine the vast amounts of data, zeros and ones that pass through for every action we take in software, then we would all truly understand how vulnerable everything really is.
Sounds like BM3 ran out of memory and crashed. You should let them know on the intua forum.
They’ve been great at tracking down and squashing them dern bugs.
I think Ableton live does this...every single time it has crashed (which is probably about twice a year) it gives the option to recover my work and it always seems to take me back to where i was before the crash.
Wait a minute . . . someone on this forum actually composed a whole song?
Rumor, conjecture, uncertainty, bluff. Pay no mind...
sheeeeet, no matter what I'm using I keep my left hand permanently on the save , I go through withdrawal if I don't press the save button every few minutes
Have got into the habit of clicking Save... a lot.
+1 for this...
and again...
and again...
and again...
(Did I mention I save A LOT?!?)
