@pink_sky This is amazing! Nice long built up, love it. Do you have it on instagram also?
Thanks! Really love the app. Unfortunately not on Instagram though, I don't have an account .
That's really great, but I'm so wishing I could see the whole process! Is the whole set running through the Monotron post-Blocs? (Wait, what are we calling Blocs now?)
Thanks! Yes, it's just Headphone Out of iPad -> Aux In of Monotron, Headphone Out of Monotron -> Line In on Zoom Recorder. Monotron has a noisy built-in compression that gives the whole mix a tape-like hiss, which is definitely a matter of taste but I'm pretty fond of it.
You can see (faintly) the real-time adjustments I'm making on the Monotron, although for completely impractical artistic purposes I chose to overlay the footage at a low opacity over the main footage of the iPad. I'm mostly just messing with the filter cutoff, delay time and feedback on the Monotron.
Are those your own samples or IAPs?
Sounds great. Thanks.
Most likely IAPs... I have imported a few loops into Blocs from other apps, but my Blocs library is mostly populated by the IAPs, because (confession time) I've purchased every single one. Workflow wise, when I'm building a project in Blocs, I just cycle randomly through loops until one hits my ear right.
However, I try to never use a "stock" loop without chopping it up in some way, otherwise I feel like it's just a pre-made track.
