Recent Storage Space Squeeze Limits? Tips Tricks 4 Space
All these new great apps as well as the upgrades to accommodate multiple platforms, operating systems, devices, and functions have recently grabbed up the little storage I had been sitting on proudly since adding the Air2 to the Air1 and iPhone.
Some apps in particular are very frustrating for me as well. For instance, I would love to have Sampletank with all my IAPs but that is such a monstrosity to store. Plus you can't edit out any items.
Then IK releases Syntronik which I would probably grab but I just don't have another 5-10 gigs to spare.
I love me some Synthmaster Player, but with the IAP's it sits with near 2 gigs on my devices. This is all before the new Synthmaster app.
The list goes on and on. There is a lot of redundancy as well, I have how many repeat samples that end up used on multiple apps.
So many apps. So many great apps.
Top off the need to have Audiocopy and Audioshare with all the bought and created loops and samples.
I think it is a hard fact to face, but, I need to get a bigger iOS device for my music. Being that I just got a new MacBook Pro 2 weeks ago, I am not spending any money right now.
IN THE MEANTIME, HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHICH APPS STAY AND WHICH APPS GO?
YOU KNOW, HOUSEKEEPING ON IOS TO GET SOME SPACE FREED UP.
HOW DO YOU DO IT?

How can developers help to lesson the impact of size when doing apps?

Having this problem too. Had to remove syntronik
If you've got 11, offload all your big apps that you don't use regularly. Lifesaver.
I had to move SampleTank to iPhone only and with the Midimtr app, I’m able to use the iPads keyboard to play SampleTank via Bluetooth into the iPhone record sample and send to iPad. Syntronik really took up my last 5 gigs. But I love it!
Didn't do 11 yet.
Not sure if I will on Air2 or the Air1 as well.
The iPhone I will as soon as I finish sampling out each preset from Alchemy at the gym.
Each day I do like c3-b5 for a couple presets building a replica sample library to use in BM3.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE OTHER ELEPHANT IN MY ROOM!
BM3 and NOISE
Fuck me.
Love em both.
Need em both.
Size is killing me.
I have pondered the multiple strategy and looks like it may be go time!
Thanks M4C
Well, sadly me to.
And therefore can't give IK my money.
I wish their IAP were not so rigid and permanent.
That is the same technique that I use...and for the same reasons. I also have the full-blown Alchemy, iSymphonic, and Synthmaster loaded on the phone.
