nature sounds apps with connectivity
Are there any nature sounds apps that can be used as sound sources on an Ipad? I have found a bunch of nice apps, but none have IAA or any other obvious way of getting the sounds out and into my recording apps.

It's hard. I bought naturespace's $50 bundle. Great for sleeping and noise masking, but seriously copyrighted, so it won’t invite piracy with AB compatibility.
You could line out from one device to another.
Or download nature sounds from YouTube, and use a file player compatible with AB.
Nah, there's nothing like that. The Naturespace app is incredible though. I've bought quite a few tracks on it.
I can't think of any apps but the one thing I'd recommend is using your ipad as a field recorder, they are great devices for capturing sounds, grab either a usb mic or one that works directly with the lightening or 30 pin connection, depending on the age of your ipad.
I'd go for drives and take it on holiday with me to get sounds and record straight into auria, soak up the vibes of the place, come back with loads of sounds and use them in tracks. One option I was looking at, which has been discontinued now was a zoom lightening mic, which clips straight onto the ipad.

If you want to use the apps you've got and have a mac or pc, record them into your computer then copy them onto your ipad, convoluted way for sure, was how I got around recording sounds from apps that didn't have the connectivity.
That zoom mic seems to still be available on Amazon (in U.K. At least) and the app was updated 17th Sept this year.

Might treat myself in the black friday sales, mic I use atm is mono.
on the iConnectAudio4+ you can set the routing to capture audio from any app into something that records in background mode.
This does NOT work with a standard class compliant interface (verified this with an ID22).
Tracked YT from Safari by starting record in AUM and then switched to the browser.
May work as well with other interfaces that come with a dedicated routing/control panel.
You could use the file player in Aum, get some of Klankbeeld’s fieldrecordings on the go!

Nice page, thanks.
I reviewed this a few months ago, it’s for Reason but this is the kind of thing that would be amazing for iOS, and even more amazing is that this full rack extension is only $9.00, and because it’s an “instrument” you can use it freely as you would any synth

Very nice. Is there a way to sample sounds from the browser in ios? For example, on a PC I can record anything playing on the sound card into Audacity, which allows one to capture anything playing in the web browser.
as mentioned above this works only on soundcards that have their own routing facility, otherwise the browser blocks the sound device for it's own exclusive use.
The routing works via a copy mechanism that can distribute the original buffer data to one or more destinations.
