How do I update to 10.3 - not 11.2 ?

Help...
I'm on 10.2 , and i want to get Quantum which is on 10.3.
How do i incrementally upgrade?
11still looks problematic for a lot of users - I don't want to be one of them.

  • I'm afraid Apple has stopped signing 10.3.3 and 11.0 already as of a couple days ago. I personally have had problems whatsoever with iOS 11.

I'm pretty sure that if you have iTunes on a PC or Mac you will be allowed to install 10.33...
You can download that file separate first, and, force iTunes to install that file on your iPad (I can remember now, but you press a key on the keyboard before pointing at the downloaded file)...
Search the internet for more info on that...

  • Thanks for that... searching with trepidation.

Nope. Apple is no longer signing 10.x installs. You’d need a fake signing server and a jail broken device.

So, what about an iPad4 running 10.2.1? Can it no longer be updated to 10.3.3.?

Looks like I released Quantum with a 10.3 target - it should be 9.3 so hang on folks should be a new update before next friday.... Just need to check Ableton link works ok with it. I think it does.

    4th gen iPad can’t run iOS 11.

Good question @DeVlaeminck. My guess would be yes, but I’m really not sure.

  • @TheMediocritist iPad 4 is now updated to 10.3.3.
So Apple are indeed still signing 10. installs.
