Elastic Drums or DrumPerfect PRO?
Elastic Drums or DrumPerfect PRO?
I want to use lots of preset kits, sounds, and which works better with other apps like BM3 or Modstep?

Heh, to me they are almost polar opposites of how they get audio out. Elastic Drums, together with SeekBeats, is probably the most advanced synthetic drums machine out there. DrumPerfect Pro is definitely the most advanced sample based drum app. Now, you can of course load DPP with samples from synthetic drums too.
The question is more about which workflow you would hate the least, as both are kind of...special. I actually mean that in a good way, because with great capacity comes increased complexity, and they can both be somewhat tedious for anyone jumping in at the beginning. I think both apps are worth the investment of time though.
Having said that, I use DPP for 80% of everything I do, including synthetic drums, as I (now) find it really quick and easy to work in. It took me some time to get to that point though, creating kits, saving off patterns that can be quickly copied in to other patterns etc.
I don't own Elastic Drums, but I do own DPP. DPP excels at giving you complete control, you can create your own kits - in fact it lets you create really nice round-robin kits from one or two samples per instrument, and it gives you enormous control over beats.
However it's not really a fire-and-play app, it's an app you have to spend time with. If you want to craft and refine your beats then it's perfect.
However if you're looking for something that's quick to use and that will do a lot of the work for you, Luis Martinez apps would be a better fit: Future Drummer, Funk Drummer etc..
Both are highly recommended, it just depends on what you want from the app.
