thanks, that pro chords app looks pretty sweet

  • Yeah what I like about it is they apparently analysed some 15k songs to see what the 'best' recommendations should be a bit like Hook Theory.

  • Suggester
    Navichord
    Chord Maps 2
    DreamFoot
    Chordy 2
    Klimper
    Changeling

All sort of do chord and the like, but I know what you mean the chord tools in desktop DAWs tend to do it better, I wish a AU would come out with the same functionality as
    Studio One 3 Chorder.

    Or Reasons Chord Device.

does navichord suggest the next chord in a progression? i have that app, but haven’t wrapped my head around it yet

  • @Navichord has a feature where you select the main chord then you can click randomize and you it will auto fill your empty pads with chords that fit the scale.

  • Another app which displays the chord relationship to the root chord is Mapping Tonal Harmony Pro.

It has a ton of sophistication built in, but also filters to limit the chords shown to simple, non-jazzy chords.
