Arranging loops into bigger loop in Loopy

edited October 2013 in General App Discussion

I have a short bass loop (a) and short synth loop (b) and then I recorded another loop (c). Now I want to build a longer loop based on b and a, and then have some silence and then c, silence and then c again.

I tried recording a big empty loop and merging, but Loopy multiplies the short loop inside the big one. Then I thought of ACP + insert silence, but it seems none of my apps are capable of doing this. Thoughts?

  • you could record the output of Loopy back into itself and 'play' that series of loops you require (by turning the loops on/off as needed)...

so say your short bass loop is 2 bars, synth loop is 2 bars - set up Loopy to record an 8 bar loop (for example)... start recording - have your bass and synth loop playing, let them play for 4 bars - turn the loops off when you want the silence, then trigger the third loop to come on at the end after your silent bit.

  • Thanks @Halftone, it works.
