The possibilities with this suite are incredible. Very well designed. Just top notch, but did anyone really expect anything different?
I would also say that it's quite useable on a small iPhone SE screen too. Obviously not as much screen real estate to have more than one AUv3 dialog opened at a time, but if your sight is decent
you can have 2-3 open in portrait mode and still use it. For adjustments though, you'll need to be in landscape on the small iPhone 5s/SE screen. Definitely doable though.
Just to check, can we sequence notes higher than C4 using this app?

@DrippyFaucet I took the plunge just after iOS 11 came out. I previously resisted, thinking "I don't really need it, do I?" Now I can't imagine doing anything without it.
It and AudioShare are the indispensables.
^ AUM for me completely transends all references to money. I look at it sometimes and just wonder where in the hell this thing came from. It really is light years ahead of ANY ios app afaik. All hail j lilla, dev god! (@Brambos is up their too)
@brambos will the drum sequencer have a song mode, like patterning?
I still use Audiobus 3 all the time as well. Whereas before I saw AB3 and AUM as somewhat redundant, I now see that they actually complement each other well and extend what you can do with just one or the other alone. With both you feel all-powerful.

I picked up Audiobus 2 ages ago and didn't understand why in the world I would need AUM since they seemed to be very similar. It wasn't until months and months later when I finally broke down and picked up AUM that I realized:
Audiobus is a bus - it takes audio from point A and sends it to point B
AUM is a mixer - it takes audio from multiple sources and sums them to a master out
Of course this is an oversimplification, but this is a HUGE difference and an indicator that both are absolute essentials. Not in the way that "Model 15 is an essential app" - nononono. These are both indispensable tools and if you want to make music and not just space noises (and believe me - I LOVE making me some space noises) then they are necessary.
I rarely open anything outside of AUM any more.

The Black Page by Frank Zappa is in common time. But feels nothing like 4/4. From the wiki:
" It is written in common time with extensive use of tuplets, including tuplets inside tuplets. At several points there is a crotchet triplet (sixth notes) in which each beat is counted with its own tuplet of 5, 5 and 6; at another is a minim triplet (third notes) in which the second beat is a rubato quintuplet (actually a tuplet of 7), and the third beat is divided into tuplets of 4 and 5. The song ends with a crotchet triplet composed of tuplets of 5, 5, and 6, followed by two tuplets of 11 in the space of one."

I’ve always known it was the thing I was missing. I’ve mostly just thought AB and AUM were pretty much the same. But never sure the total differences I suppose

Well.... no disrespect to Mr. Zappa. But if this is something that only Zappa did once, four decades ago then I think I prefer to keep my UIs simple and not burden them with arcane features like this

Cool. Is it possible to add multiple Odessa instances in the same AUM channel (vertically), for less AUM sideways scrolling, or does an AU midi effect always have to be in the input slot of AUM?

can’t some clever soul configure Xequence to record midi from AUM? And the load it as a template? This would seem like an ideal, ready-made solution.
