I have a nanoKontrol 2 that I've used with Auria. I dig it - it's nice to have tactile control when mixing as it forces me to use my ears more and my eyes less.
I've also configured it to act as drawbars for Galileo organ, which makes it infinitely more playable (at least as a traditional Hammond organ, anyway).
I'm sure it could be configured to control AUM, which I could see being super useful on the gig.
I keep wanting to order the Nanokey Studio but am unsure about the keys. There's nowhere here to try it out in person, so I'd have to order/return if I don't like it. They keys don't seem anything like real piano keys from the videos I've seen. They seem like loud laptop keys or something. What are your thoughts about them since you own it?
I was going to advise you to get the bluetooth version., personally I'm a "post cable" phase
I have it and love it. Gives me faders and knobs, lots of buttons, start/stop/play buttons, and is super-slim. So easy to program and great price. My favorite MIDI controller yet.
Good choice, I have 2 of them and there is a native mode for these in iElectribe that gives you a lot of control. Wish Korg would update the app with Ableton Link support!
Sounds like some love for the nonokontrol! The wireless ones are the wrong combinations for me. I have no need for pads or keys. And the fader one has no encoders. Arrives tomorrow
There's wireless NanoKontrol?

Good one. I love mine. I primarily use it to control AUM or Loopy, depending on what I'm doing.
I don't normally have more than 4 channels active in AUM so I mapped channels 5-8 to effect send levels.
With Loopy, I map one channel to "current track" (record, volume, pan, etc), track select buttons to "previous and next track", 6 channels to loops 1-6 and one channel for extra stuff like metronome, tempo....
Solo buttons don't have much use for me in Loopy so I mapped them to "re-record".
Most of the transport area have obvious mappings. I mapped record to "rerecord current track" (so also works as regular record) and rewind to "overdub current track".
Enjoy!
Thanks man! Looking forward to using with iMS-20 and elastic drums
You could use it to set up all the stuff the nanoKontrol’s knobs and sliders do. Say you wanted one knob to control three synth parameters...stuff like that.
Ohhhh the Studio. I was thinking he was talking about the Nanokontrol2. I got excited for a minute there.
It’s arrived. Great fun being had with apps that have midi learn. To my surprise not the @brambos apps?
They have pre-mapped MIDI CC codes. They're all listed in the user manuals (or you can use the AU Parameters).
Thanks for getting back so quickly! Yeah i got the cc codes. It’s just i cant see a way to define these on the controller without faffing about with editor software. Unless I’m being completely thick which is possible,
Nope. No editing without the computer. You can set up midiflow controller remappings though.
yep ! plays nice with gadget . ... doesnt get on with cubasis :-(
