My above comment has me thinking... A drumsynth is just a synth. I should do a bunch of AU synths as drum sounds in Ape, what is the mnml rule, no more than 8 sounds or something? Hmmm... next project for sure. I guess the hard part is automation... that is where drum machines kick ass. But its doable, certainly worth trying, to the point that I am feeling silly I haven't tried it already. Perferator on some of the more dense stuff would be fun.
A decent drum sequencer and some carefully placed midi control = insta Ritchie Dear Mono tm
I use them both- for making drum samples to form kits in Patterning
Used ED in an AUM jam last night, bombed out after about 30 seconds like it always does for me.
Are you using the most recent version 2.1.9 ?
This should fix a "bug" created by iOS 11
I use it in Audiobus and have no issues.
PLUS all the AB remote goodies to control the app!
I’m using the latest version.
ED has been doing this for me for months, it is the only app that crashes out of AUM
Okay, now I'm excited. Ap> @elasticdrums said:
Hey Elastic, are you doing more stuff these days? Maybe a stripped down AU ED? I tried my idea with the 8 synths... not very cpu efficient. To have the engines inside AumApe would be really fun... Only if you are bored, ha!
Or maybe a companion loop player AU? So you bust out your ED jams into it and record them... that would be rad.
Somebody needs to make a 'bounce to disc' loop player AU and scoop up all our money, if it was stylee it would be insta buy for a lot of people I think.
