Help reamping in auria

Dunno what I’m missing here.. I’ve not used auria for tracking in a while but I decided to give it another go, I’m getting an input just fine from my interface, recording a nice healthy dry guitar signal. Put Jamup pro onto insert fx slot and I’m getting loads of dry signal and hardly any Jamup coming out. The meter in Jamup is barely moving.. I’ve used Jamup in auria fine before but can’t remember if I used it on a dry or not. With record with fx turned on it works fine still.. what am I missing here? It’s been a long day at work so I’m not exactly on form this evening.. cheers

  • Can you post a screen shot?

    There you go mate @kgmessier

  • Just to isolate the issue, what happens if you put a different amp sim (do you have another one?) in the second insert? Activate the second amp sim app, and bypass JamUp Pro.

  • Is it armed for recording? It will do input monitoring only if armed for recording.

  • P.S.: if your interface has two or more different inputs, be sure to select the right one. ;)

Or the left one as is most often the case! :D

  • Yeah I’ve recorded the dry guitar ok and it’s playing back at a decent level (you can see the recorded waveform behind the channel strip) but with jamup pro as an insert fx it’s not affecting it. If I turn record with fx on then jam up starts working whilst monitoring and will record like it ok. I’m using the standalone jamup pro not the auria iap. Gotta go to work again now so I’ll have to wait till this evening to download and try a different amp sim I guess.. thanks guys for your help

  • your 'problem' is based on Aurias (senseless) list of EVERYTHING as a plugin.
If you choose JamUp Pro that refers to the standalone app, which is launched in background then.
Just pick JamUp (above it) and it loads the IAA part properly - and does what you expect ;)

  • @Telefunky thanks I’ll check when I get home but I’m pretty sure I tried both jam ups in the list but I was really tired last night and not expecting to spend my session troubleshooting so probably tried the same one twice...

  • it's a tiny little hit target area :D
I did both, Pro failed with no sound on the meter, non-Pro just worked - both look exactly the same.

  • Do you know why there is two jam ups in the list mate?
