Different Drummer sync broken?

I picked up Different Drummer a few days ago and am having a lot of fun with it, EXCEPT that I cannot get it to reliably sync to any other app (Link switch is on, tried MIDI clock Off, Out, In). I’ve tried in Audiobus (will start DD clock but not in sync), in AUM, stand-alone—no luck anywhere.
Is anyone using DD current version in iOS 11.0.3 syncing successfully?

    Sorry to report flaky sync here as well. Only tried Link, seems to do them BPM adapt ok, but does not seem to line up with any metrical division or clock cycle start when I randomly start/stop DD. Current version of DD but iOS 11.0 for me.
