hi eveyone
i found little information about Bluetooth Midi in the real wold. Do you have any experience? How is the latency? Can you really use it for playing live?
edit it seems that Korg Nanokey Studio has low latency but Akai's LPD wireless not...
thanks all

The newer iterations of bluetooth are capable of sending midi without any noticeable latency. It needs to be bluetooth LE and dunno if its all LE or some version of it. I know mbp mid 2014 has new enough BT for this, so it doesent have to be like brand new. I used to send all midi to my ipad from laptop via bluetooth, but now have no need for that anymore
I've got the Quicco BT Midi Plugs pair which is much like the Yamaha MD-BT01 but much more portable.
I'm quite satisfied with them! Of course, Bluetooth has its usual issues but once connected, they work with latency low enough to be usable. I have them permanently plugged into my Arturia KeyStep, and it's good to be able to use USB midi on the laptop and BT Midi on the iPad without changing the setup.
