I really dig the keyboard controller bit of this app....the bit that lets you choose chords.
It's not midi, but for me,it's the easiest and best chord selection tool out there.
I think the devs could develop this part of the app into a ( seperate?) midi chord controller.
I know we already have many,(chord explorer, midi mind, pro chords, chord polypad, chordbot and others),but this simple interface could become the easiest, most intuitive one to use.
@commonatookie: Am I missing something? All that appears to do is allow you to preview chords and variations - it doesn't suggest anything, AFAICS.

No it doesn't. Why do you think it should?
Your right @Washboy...no suggestion(pro chords).no playing style variations (chordbot).
Just keyboard, the chords and easy to navigate controls.
This could be a personal taste thing(?) I found it easier and quicker to put chords runs together, using this tool, then any of the others out there.
I also enjoyed using my ear, rather then relying on a suggestion.i think there's room for both methods tho.
Ears are good.
I did this with Sessionband Jazz vol 1. Just mucked around with chord choices until I had a progression I liked. I've posted it before, but it gives an idea of what's possible. The strings were added from Garageband, BTW.
@PaulB: I don't think it should. I was curious to understand what @commonstookie found so good about the chord selector (- that's kindly been answered and it's down to personal taste). I just wondered if I'd missed something beyond the obvious.
There are plenty of demo songs that suggest chord progressions. Play around with those. Btw @ Paul nice track.
Which version of SB Jazz is preferred, 1 or 2?
I wish these types of apps wouldn't take up so much disk space
@yowza - These are audio files (not mp3) and they are always huge files but have a far better sound quality. You can extract them using ifunbox so that you can use them in a sampler or use them in other apps to do ACP. The sound quality of these audio files is just superb so I don't mind taking a hit on disk space to download the app and then using the samples in myriad of ways. My workflow is not just iPad so I see these apps as another way of buying sample packs. This app by itself is just so good as you can come up with exciting chord progressions that sound wicked. This is a professional grade app to say the least. Thanks to the developers.
Dev says midi planned for future update..
Tempo shift was added to acoustic guitar and piano.
