issues with Behringer UM2 USB interface

I get a lot if crackling even with very small projects in both Cubasis and Gadget. And more often than not i get an "Audio Codec not supported". Any ideas?
Air2 in 10.3.3 with USB3 cck and a passive hub (Hama) connecting to the Behringer and an iKeys 25.
