  • Great groove Mr B!

  • Love it mate. only thing i find slightly overbearing is the chord stabs that come in at 27 seconds and then on many further occasions .. id either leave em out till later or put a bit of variation into them.
nearly pulled pulled the trihgger on one of those volca sample players soooo many times :s mainly for spinning in spoken sample snippets.. what is the longest continues sample length they'll do ?

  • Cheers guys.
@enc thanks for the input. I think those stabs are the hook, but I know what you mean about variation and repetition. I had it in mind to do some live key changes, but forgot until nearer the end.
I could have done another pass, but I don't take these live vids too seriously and usually go with the first take. If I was doing the track in a DAW I would take more care.

    Cheers for watching and listening.

  • @enc not sure what the limit is for a single sample (or if there is one) but you can definitely do stuff longer than one shots. There isn't a ton of room in general though. 2mb or something? There's a trick to sort of maximize the space. Pitch shift your sample way up and save it before you transfer it. Then, on the device, pitch shift it back down to regular size.

  • Sorry, forgot to say about the sample length.

What @syrupcore said about pitch shifting will massively increase the length of what you can put in there, but seems to be at the expense of degradation in quality. It is a great little box though and an essential Volca in my opinion.
So much editing available, you can make a whole track out of one short sample.
