  • Nice. Interesting that you listed the sounds you were using.
I wouldn't have guessed that they are so many.

  • What I personally find worth mentioning: Most of the sounds in Equator, if not all, you'll also find in Noise. So you can really start an idea with Noise or Noise AU in GarageBand or Cubasis then complete it with Logic or Cubase. I almost can never accomplish this when I don't have the same sounds on the Mac. This is one of the points I also love about Garage Band included sounds.

  • Yeah GarageBand is fabulous. Can’t wait until see where they take it next in January

Is there some kind of reliable info out there, that there's gonna be a new version beginning of next year?

Nothing reliable...just the past 2 or even 3 years there’s been a feature update just before NAMM. Seems very deliberate to me

    So chances are good. :)
Whatever the new features might be, they should not make my iPad 2017 outdated, please.
    What I'd love to see:

    • Double the number of sounds
    • some more MIDI editing
    • more automation
    • Flex pitch
    • Turn drummer tracks to MIDI
    • Change the samples for drummer tracks
    • Change volume of individual sounds of drummer tracks
    • Let us apply these global effects on single tracks, too - where applicable
    • Freeze / unfreeze

    Perfect. I’ll add two more

    • “mute” clips
    • Drag and drop (external drum samples to drum pads)

Yes those two are important too. Especially the mute for Clips which I think they call regions. Muting single notes in midi editor is also important. It is a fast wait to try out variations.

    B)

I just happen to be a person who loves the type of sounds that are available for Noise and for its desktop counter part Equator. Nicely fits the music I am doing.
And, as a non trained keyboard player, I found that the Lightpad Block is a good way to create instrument licks. Although it is not sensitive enough. Hope that is actually improved with the 2nd generation Lightpad Block M. And I love the idea to have the same sounds on the desktop, so that I can start on the iPad and go on on the Mac seamlessly, which is the case with many of the Noise/Equator sounds.

  • Word. Think you should.

  • So, who’s diggin season 2 so far? I’m not a binge watcher, so I’m 3 in.

This is the 2nd time I am encountering someone saying "Word". I wasn't able to find an explanation what it means in this context,

Edit: found what it means: means something like "well said"

After beeing shocked from the walking death 7 beginning i need something else :)
The problem is what do i after that?
    I'm a netflix junkie!
(But the Myst was really the worst thing. While the book and even movie was good, they destroyed the thing).

It can also mean 'I understand you.'

  • Pro-tip: you can throw the basic arpeggio pattern into fugue machine.
