groovebox drum expansion sale not working?
Anyone else tried it? It says click here for more and nothing happens. And none of the kits seem to be on sale

Same
@AmpifyxNovation
I emailed and tweeted them. I’ve done my duty.
Same. Lame.
Is it usually US $2.99?
I think that works, all the expansion are 5.99 while drum expansion is 2.99. you have to select drum and swipe to the left, if I remember well.
I’ve always seen 1.99 for drums and .99 for synths. Those are current prices. Expansions are additional drum kits/patterns or synth presets according to the listings in the app, not the upgrade of the devices to full access of controls
Actually, looking a little further, they refer to both as expansions so I’m not sure what they’re referring to but tapping in the drop down announcement just closes the window so who knows...
OT but is anyone else just a tad suspicious of Groovebox's magical 'random' function? Some kind of musical sorcery coming out of that app.
+1
I think I remember them saying that it just randomly selects from a bank of presets. So it is not randomly creating patterns on the fly. I might have got that wrong though.
The drum expansion is cheaper then the synths by €2 here, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case before.
I have a dream that we will see a hardware device from Novation built to switch between sections, control parameters/fx and works with blocs wave and groovebox.
The fact that they both have 8 tracks and the sections are similar in both apps makes me think there is something like that on the future road map.
Ooh. But now you have gotten my hopes up. Did you by any chance eat a lot of pizza before you had this dream?
The moment sections were added to groovebox I had this suspicion. I then checked to see if we could have more than 8 tracks in groovebox. I confirmed that we can't and there is no obvious technical reason for the limitation, (the latest iOS devices could handle quite a few more than 8)
Expansion sale working now. It appears to be for the expansion of the drum machine (which I already have) and not the kit/pattern expansions as I’d hoped.
What is the "drum expansion" then? What is on sale if not extra drum sounds?
You are correct- they are not randomly generated- they are off a list. So if you hit it often enough- the same patterns will return. I'm slightly miffed about this. I always took the dice symbol to mean true random selection of parameters etc.
It enables all of the drum machine parameter controls. The free version of the app only has a basic set of parameter controls enabled.
Cool feature... nice if they implement a way for store and retrieve user presets too.
Groovebox is a free app with limited functionality to start with. The expansion upgrades are to gain full control over the drum, lead & bass instruments.
The drum expansion allows tuning of individual elements, control of sample length, etc. I bought all the expansions early on and like @DrippyFaucet & others I first understood the drum sample packs & synth presets would be on sale, but they're still $1.99.
I don't know how much the sale cuts from the expansions, it doesn't show it once you're upgraded. I think they were $4.99 when I got them all, so if they've even gone down by just a buck to me they're worth getting.
Launch Controllers... even I wonder a footpedal and XL mk2
