the real thang is 119% more fun

  • Might be funnier, but man, the sound really they nailed it!

  • But the real one is thousands of percent more expensive. And it takes up more room. And it doesn’t integrate with Gadget. So you are better off with the IOS version.

....and the real one doesn’t have that sequence/arp thingy that lets you automate some controls!

Well, they couldn't found a simpler sound to compare? With this trumpet i can make many things sound like an Arp  Not very meaningful imo.

All good arguments for the iThang, but they are challenges that can be overcome and the Real Thang is still more fun.

The real ones main advantage IMO is the thing hardware has over iOS - that touchy-feely-ness you can only get with real knobs, sliders, buttons and real keys

  • the real thang might be more fun to spend the day with, but my iPad mini has really shaped up to be a great sound module. toss it in a bag with your hardware sampler of choice and you're golden

@kobamoto Fun factor aside, I agree. I take an ipad, laptop and nanokey2 with me traveling and there's very little I can't do with that setup.
