I love my cat, however...

I am so careful with updates, still on 10.3.3 and trying to use Alchemy. Very careful with App Store updates, as my Air 1 is always near maxed out. The App Store is always tempting me to update many apps, and I only choose music related choices - the update all button is to be avoided at all costs.

Apparently my cat does not support such restraint - for the second time he has run across my iPad at just the wrong time, and today I had about 12 apps update against my wishes. Luckily still on 10.3,3 and running Alchemy.

Cats make the best Halloween melodies.
Would kill all my tools before giving away my cat.
    She owns me. :)
I hope you forgive your cat.

I frequently hit that damn "Update All" button when I'm merely trying to scroll the list back up by touching the status bar. I then immediately switch to Airplane mode and shut the damn device down, has helped every time :) (and after restarting, go through all the "Stop" buttons in the list)

  • I hope your cat has an appropriate name - like AutoUpdate :D

    More like regret. :)

  • My cat also exhibits such risky behaviors, but it was one of my children who "helpfully" updated my Air 1--which was intended to be my 32-bit app permanent backup device running iOS9--to iOS11. Now I have to decide whether to leave my Air 2 or Pro on 10.3.3 so I don't lose those apps forever. First world problems, I suppose...

LoL - I have 8 cats, so I feel you broh
My loveliest female Abyssinian managed to puke into my Roland D-20 Synth, destroying several keys.

But remember - we are just servants

  • Me & the missus love cats, our 3 are totally our children. BUT, having cats is certainly a trial at times; I mean they're like infants that never grow up.

I hate carpeting anyway, I mean who ever thought giving the floor a sweater that never comes off was a lunatic. With cats you better vacuum a lot to keep hair, dander & the goddamn cat box sand granules to a minimum.

But my biggest pet peeve (pun intended) is cats puking on carpet. Is there a more life destroying event than these shit machines yaking up in the middle of the room...during dinner? I've got a three stage system with carpet spray, the Woolite brush stick & a sacrificial alter where I pray & do ancient druidic spells in attempts to return the area to something resembling clean.

Last bit o' rant: my studio/music room is 100% off limits to the cats. Our lil' girl Chirpy will sometimes sneak in if I forget to close the door but as soon as I say "What are you doing?" it's hilarious like she knows she fucked up & skulks off out of the studio with this look like "I'm going, I'm going..."

Whatever the sacrifice cats definitely make life & our home a better place, if you've never had one- Give Cat's A Chance.
@Crawlingwind's kitty actually thought he was doing him a solid. They have their own minds, personalities & motivations... that's what makes them so cool.
