just keeps getting better

They don't muck about, this lot, impressive update. Sounds like some UI workflow improvements too which might tempt me back in.
See! See! All praise Lord BM3!
"When replacing a sample on a pad, keep MIDI input/output port & channel settings."
If this is what i think it is "Properly create pattern using original sample tempo and bar length when exporting slices to pads or layers."

The feature was a bit 'buggy' before (work-around was to set the 'session tempo' to 'sample tempo' to create a proper pattern, now it's done automagically). So yeah, it creates a pattern of/for the slices
Wow! Looks a decent update there.
i'm a trigger pad addict! oh, what pads to get for this lovely app...
the amazing thing is that a lot of updates are requests.
When I need pads I use the iRig Pads but most of the time it's fingering the surface or using nanoKEY Studio.
Even though the update looks 'huge' it's just scratching the surface of things yet to come
(There are still areas of the app I'm not 100% happy with and Intua is fully aware of them).
"Native iPad Pro 10.5” resolution on iOS11+ (1112x834)."
Sounds a bit odd, doesn't it? AFIK the native res of the 10.5 is 2224 x 1668.
Intua is fastly becoming a favorite
iOS UI is designed in points not pixels.
The UI of the Air 2 is 1024x768 'points'.
Sorry for my ignorance. What is "points"? Two pixels?
@Samu

i like playing bm3 on screen. i def need another controller tho. all i've got is my electribe and the pads are korg's biggest balls up! still, i wouldn't know how much i liked playing pads if i didn't have my e2.
more updates on the way? wonderful. i hope it's a great success for them. i'm going to get some iaps
iOS uses 'logical-points' to place objects onto the screen.
The assets can be retina or non-retina and in some-casese 3x.

(This does not cover all devices but points in the right direction).
Well, thank you @Samu . Not that I immidiately get it, but in time, perhaps...
I can’t wait for nano studio 2 to be released then we all can get a break from BM3 threads lol
The cumulative list of things that were added since launch is monumental. It's really impressive.
On the other hand , it may look that the first version was a bit rushed
'Rushed' is not a word I'd use to describe the road leading up to BM3 1.0
You are a delight and always hilarious: The iPhone zealot in an iPad thread, the Nanostudio acolyte at the Beatmaker 3 press conference. I'm not even sure you're aware you're doing it. Were you the youngest child in family of 10, by any chance? Keep doing you, man. Stay gold!
Agreed and every update has had something that I've found to be either useful or to reduce frustration.
transient detection
@kobamoto I've taken the opposite approach. I'm just accepting transient detection will never arrive and then I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does. Meanwhile Egoist and Reslice do this nicely so whatever...
Pardon my Noob-esque question but what does this mean? Does it mean I can send audio /midi straight into a AbletonLive channel without StudioMux?
"BeatMaker 3 supports iOS11 Inter-device Audio and MIDI (iDAM). This lets you send audio and send/receive MIDI to/from your Mac computer, using a lightning cable."
Yes it does.
I’m going to die laughing if nanostudio 2 is ipad only at launch.
The sheer thought of it already made me laugh.
Thanks
NS2 is indeed gonna be iPad only at launch but lol... I’ll install it on my iPad mini retina and wait. I know the dev and trust he will release it as universal ASAP
He already said it works on iPhone 5s
