Just wondering... can you do comparable stuff in KRFT?
I got this because it has a template for my synth that is so complex, that it would take too much time to learn how to make on lemur. It doesent see my synths current status on knobs and if i put the app on background, after going back to it, the app resets to main screen where i can select templates etc. This basically makes it so painful to use that i dont use it.
Oy, that's on my wish list and the best price I've seen. Anyone have stories of it being especially useful to them?
Can you program this to randomize parameters?
So the Pro has all the extra features pack or is that still an IAP?
Still iap > @MusicMan4Christ said:
And what this features pack contain?
? Anyone?
Never mind.
Call out to the developer - @MIDIDesigner
I think there’s just one $5 IAP with a few extra features, @MusicMan4Christ
Chaz, you might have to go into settings and enable changes. Also... not sure how new you are to MDP2 but to do any changes you have to be in design mode, not play mode.
Thnks!
Yes I thought I figured it out. But I might have to break down and rtfm.
I love this, but wish I could clean up the interfaces I make some, like with the big slider numbers and such. Still, the BTLE implementation is rock solid and something lemur, et al do not have natively
How are you guys using this app? Trying to decide how it will help me with my setup.
So here is what I’m doing. I have 2 iPads and on my Air I’m running midi pro and on the iPad Pro I’m running whatever I want to control. It’s a pretty deep once I figured out out to map midi items it’s way cool. Even on one I-ad you could have a sweet controller. But for me it’s ideal that I have 2 IPads to bounce this around on.
IMO the most likely usage is for consolidating control over a fairly static set of apps and/or hardware from a single screen. Think of it as a pallet of knobs, sliders, and buttons that you can point to controls on any app. So, lets say you had Model 15, Module, and Ruismaker and you regularly used those all together. Rather than switching screens between them, you might set up the controls you use the most on a single screen.
Kind of like Krft, but with more types of controls, but without sequencing.
One caveat ... most apps don't report back their controls position. So, if you flip over to another app, make an adjustment there, and then flip back to your control surface, those changes aren't reflected there. Animoog and Model 15 are exceptions to this.
I've spent a lot of time with similar apps, setting up nice control surfaces - then never used them. I experiment too much with different combinations of apps. They would be most useful in situations where you have fixed setups.
Gawd but that's an ugly app!
I don''t think I've ever fought with myself over pulling the trigger on an app based on how it looks. I just can't do it.
This is a first.
