Just installed 11.1 and immediately loaded AUM down with a gazzilion instruments and effects.. happy to report, absolutely no audio glitching when moving the mixers around as it did before update :). Definitely a happy camper today. (iPad Pro 2017)

That's some great news to spread around the forum! Happy to hear that it is working as it should now.

They lead the announcement with "over 70 new emojis." I'm floored.

Apparently we’ll soon forsake language as we know it. Big brother wants future generations to communicate uniquely via emojis.

+1000 for that remark. Very clever!

  • I'm feeling courageous today, so I'm updating everything. Seems to have made things a little snappier here too.

  • Pleased to say that all problems with Aum , & Studiomux/Modsep on my Ipad Air 2, since update from 10.3.3, as discussed on another thread, have now been completely resolved with the 11.1 update. Happy Days!!!!!

Good to hear, do you feel that 11.1 update is a good thing for the Air 2 is the perfromance of the interface good and snappy? I'm still at 10.3.3 should I go for it or should I still wait a while. After I once update my iPad 2 to iOS 9 I'm hestitant with updates.

  • Hi mannix,
All seems really responsive and snappy! Just made a 15 minute test recording with various apps hosted in Aum, and then bused out into Studiomux, and recorded on a Win 10 P.C. in Ableton. All worked great.....no glitches, crackles, or timing issues. Everything loaded nicely & quickly........all working great really...................

I'm sorry to report but iOS 11.1 still has audio glitch and crackle problems on my iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) when using BM3 and playing samples on pads on banks. Unacceptable :(

Strange... I’ve got the same iPad (12.9” with celluar/256GB 2017) and I used it in Beatmaker 3 last night for several hours - with NO kind of problem...
It must be something else for you guys that has problem... It must be other software related issues, rather than iOS 11...

  • Pops and crackles gone and when using AUM all the app symbols as they should be. On Air 2. Thank f##k for that.

Just got my 12.9” ipad yesterday and have to say I was disappointed that I also experienced glitching and crackling also when switching projects in BM3. Seemed to also be related to audio damage plugins. Could it be a BM3 / AD issue now? Haven’t had time to test AUM / cubasis yet

At least I'm not the only one still with this audio glitch problem with BM3 on my iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) running iOS 11.1. I was really hoping that iOS 11.1 would of fixed this but it hasn't.

I do think it is a problem with the new iPad Pro 12.9 models running BM3 because my old iPad Pro 9.7 runs BM3 without any glitches and crackles and that is supposed to be less powerful than the new iPad Pro.

I am really disappointed that I have spent over a grand on a new iPad Pro that is a lemon. I will see what the BM3 update v3.0.4 brings and if there is still audio glitch and crackles then I will demand a refund on my iPad Pro 12.9.

Did you have issues before the update?

  • iOS11.2 is already in beta and BM3.0.4 should be out soon too...

  • All peeps with audio issues with 12.9 should try a clean reinstall. I'm not saying it's gonna work but some people have reported curing problems problems that way. Just another possibility. GL

    thats REALLY beyond the pale!

  • Also remember how Bluetooth or WiFi didn’t get disabled even if you turn them off in control center, now make sure you do cause they’ll suck your battery out. Also hotspot switch turn off. Ate my baterry dry last night. This morning phone was dead for commute.

  • Updated last night and took a run at it during lunch. Air2. AUM in the input slot of AB3, GarageBand in the output.
Loads of crackling/ pops when switching apps or any function such as swiping to see the first channel of AUM. Never had this on 10.3. I never update this early. Frustrating.

  • I’ll have another go tonight before I push panic. Seems like other Air2 users are getting good results so we shall see.

It is iphone> lightning to jack> Jack to jack> bose soundlink mini 2

If i take lightning cable out of iphone it detects aux...i plug it back in to iphone it no longer detects aux connection

as mentioned in another post (regarding battery usage): the OS may do a lot of house-keeping during the initial phase after installation, index stuff etc.

Same configuration basically here, except plugging into my JVC car stereo. Works perfectly no matter which connections and in which order I remove and replace.

Try a different audio cable maybe?

Odd...it works perfectly fine with my headphones plugged into same cable and lightning adapter

  • Thank the emoji generation for what we have as iOS musicians. It's what makes Apple rich and creating these devices.
