Youtube AUM?
Anyone have a way of routing youtube into AUM?
Comments
I have a way to record Youtube or any non-compatible app in AUM if that's what you want to do. You need an audio interface though. I don't know if you are trying to add Youtube to some kind of live setup with other apps it probably isn't going to work.
not just an audio interface - the interface must cone with a routing/control panel app that allows 'duplicating' the system audio channels (the first stereo pair) and to send it's output 'elsewhere'.
The iConnectivity interfaces can do this, a simple class compliant one cannot.
I'm doing it with a Zoom H1 field recorder. I do the routing in AUM. Full stereo .wav files are the result.
Take 2 mono cables, plug outputs to inputs, record.
Any interface will do
the question wasn't about recording YT, but to have it's output in AUM
Did you talk to the OP? Because I asked that and am still waiting for more info.
Routing is impossible without a second device and interface, you can get YouTube audio into AudioShare and then AUM no problem.
You can download the audio to iCloud Drive or Dropbox, and go from there. I wrote up a tutorial for grabbing video, but it works for audio too. You need the Workflow app on your iPad.
no - the question was quite clear
For tracking content you can just record the system port (1+2) in AUM.
To feed it to another app I usually add a routing from input 1+2 to output 7+8.
Then you can use 7+8 in the target app without feedback.
This applies to the iConnectivity iCA4+ and certainly RME's TotalMix app.
It does not work with my Audient ID22 (which is class compliant only with a dedicated control app), so ymmv with interface.
