New GB AU FX
Just noticed...
If you want to add fx.. tap the AU options and Apple has added 15 new fx!!
This update is great, the new loops, instruments and alchemy patches are amazing and free, my only complaint is that there doesn’t seem to be any levels control for the different drum parts in the new drum machine
Comments
Drum levels are controlled by 'velocity'. Then again it's quite light on the CPU so record the tracks and strip out the drums that are not needed if there is a need to add effects for the individual drums.
They’re only available inside GarageBand, which is a shame.
This is great! I'm very interested in hearing how well the AUNewPitch effect works. Would love to turn my guitar into a bass.
The AUv3 effects built-in into the iOS(which those in the screenshot are) can be shown/used by the app-developer if they so desire. Many of them lack proper a UI so they are kept hidden most of the time
Who knows maybe in iOS11.2 or 11.5 or any future update Apple will make a proper UI for them.
(I'd love to use the GarageBand EQ with the spectrum analyser in other apps too)
And zMors modular
And they can be easily enabled by any developer for their app if they wish to do so.
Since many of them lack a proper UI at the moment it would just look awkward if they were enabled in say AB3 or AUM... (It would just be a list of parameters with sometimes non-descriptive names).
But hey, maybe we can get the developers behind AUM and AB3 to 'expose' them in a future update?
and LumaFusion
Excellent.
