Kind of cool - Surface 2
I just stumbled on this MS Surface 2 ad and thought it was pretty cool actually (cannot believe i just said MS surface and cool in the same sentence). Looks like a snap-on midi controller for the Surface 2.

Just thought I'd share.

When these start selling for $300 it's going to be awfully tempting to add one for mobile access to the orgy of free windows VSTs. I use a mac at home and get jealous!
The latency looks still pretty bad (I think Matt from NanoStudio said something too). My english is still bad so i didn't understand that all but where is here the difference between conecting any kind of midi hardware to any tablets? Perhaps i don't understand that, then i'm sorry but it looks like something like a Dj app in big. I think even windows 8 pro is not ready for real time audio via touchscreen. I was more impressed from the giant tablet Jorden Rudess used a while ago in another windows "commercial". But latency was also big! Would it not be a lot better to connect ipad/iphone as remote control to a MacBook or so? Sorry again, just curious (yeah often last time, i know;).
Please note the missing "buy now" button on that page.
And the missing price tag for it, of course.
A controller that have The same feature of touch screen (no pressure sensitivity, no physical faders) for me is not useful...
hahaha @Sebastian. Correct. I doubt I'd ever seriously consider it even if the "buy now" button was there. I *do think it's kind of a nod to this little niche we've carved out, though. Maybe I'm just being egotistical.
