  • I have an Alesis io4 that works fine with both, but I just bought a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 on reverb that has yet to arrive and I understand that works well with both.

  • I think we would need more info as to what you want to connect to the interface. I use the iConnectaudio4+ for my setup.

  • ipad -> interface -> daw - exporting
    Keyboard - > ipad -> interface -> daw - creating/recording

  • the clear winner is the iConnectAudio4+
    It's the only interface that makes IOS channels directly available within the desktop DAW.
    Not even the need to transfer files - and you can process/sample PC/Mac output directly in IOS. All cables and powersupply included (which doesn't apply to the budget iCA2)

  • Few considerations ~ Maks sure you are happy with the available sample rates, number of channels, MIDI stuff, remote apps (or not) to control the interface

  • If you’re ultimately just going to be recording the iPad in your daw and are running OS X, you don’t even need an audio interface. You can just connect the iPad directly to your computer, enable it in OS X Audio Midi preferences and record directly.

  • What about the Novation 2x4 interface?

  • And what is the main difference between ICONNECTIVITY ConnectAUDIO2/4 and ICONNECTIVITY iConnectAUDIO2+ ?
