I wish all Auria users a nice weekend!

  • Just in time for the weekend! Also note anyone who owns Turnado and/or Wow2 it shows up as an IAP but if you have it on your device and go the FX button on a track they both show up in the drop down and are useable, this is also where your IAA apps show up to be selected

  • Quality :-)

  • Oh yes, fantastic automation of lots and lots of parameters for WOW and Turnado. Brilliant.
Having to set this inside each track though, I can't seem to write 'live' changes. I wonder if this is working for the other plugins following this update.

  • AUFX Space inside is a dream come true :-)

@Trueyorky I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. But if wow and Turnado comes bundled with Auria and works as native Auria plugins, you should be able to record automation. IAA effects on the other I don't believe can do that yet. Maybe this is something Sugar Bytes have to look into. I have both the plugs so I'll give it a try myself ASAP, and report back :)

Edit: You're right, tried it with Turnado on both channels and sub channels, and I can't record automation. That's a bummer since that's kinda what they're made for. Hopefully Sugar Bytes and Wavemachine can look into it.

I did notice that while they do show up in the list as regular native Auria plugs, they don't show the "installed" button in the plugin store, just the price button that takes you to the AppStore if pressed. All other native Auria plugs shows the regular "installed" (if purchased).

  • Anyone seeing the battery and wifi info at the transport bar at the top ?

  • Oh dear....CPU overload with just iMini.......hmmmmm......

  • @davemagoo I got CPU overload with iSEM, so I checked the settings in Auria, and the record buffer was set to 256 in Auria. I changed it to 512 and had no problems recording after that (on a small project at least). I'm on iPad 2 btw

  • Man I love Auria! Keep up the good work!!!

  • @ChrisG: Is it the case that, if you already have Turnado and WOW as apps, the Auria versions are automatically available for use (but the IAPs remain 'unpurchased')?

  • Do you get the audio stopping when you load Nave into 1 track and then isem into another ?

  • I have 6.1.3 and Turnado as an app, but doesn't see it inside as a plugin.
Anyone else with 6.1.3 see this plugin?

  • 7.0.2 here and I see it...

  • Don't you have to hit Restore Purchases to see it as a plugin?

  • I did restore and even restarted Auria but no go. Turnado doesn't show.

  • @Flo26 - I too was disappointed to see that Turnado only loads as an effect and not as an "instrument". And the xy pads are gone. I wish we were given the choice as to how to load it in as an IAA - the usual app or the plug-in. I feel like I am getting less, not more, witht he way things are.

  • As nice as it would be to get the XYs in the sugar bytes plugs, they are atleast the same as the desktop versions (and for a fraction of the price). Maybe they had to cut some corners to allow the plugs to show in both landscape and portrait within Auria, and maybe also cut down the file sizes ?

  • Anyone have crash when import Audio?

@washboy as I understood it all, if you purchase wow and/or Turnado it will be the stand alone version from the AppStore (Auria redirects you to the AppStore on those two plugs), Auria then recognizes that you have those plugs installed on your iPad and unlocks the ones that are bundled within Auria (so you have 2 different copies of the plugs).

There is some issue tho with the plugs, it's not possible to record automation with the sugar bytes plugs for some reason, only set it manually.

If the plugs are native and bundled inside Auria, recording automation shouldn't ordinarily be a problem. If you're using an IAA on the other hand you can't record automation (unless I'm mistaken).

@flo26 The Auria versions of Turnado and WOW syncs to the tempo you have set in Auria.

(There are no IAA versions of WOW and Turnado yet as Sugar Bytes has not updated their plugs with IAA support)

Gotta say that Kymaticas IAA effects are just wonderful. Sounds amazing, are really lightweight so they don't tax the RAM etc on the iPad 2, fast to switch between AUFX and Auria and so on. Can't wait to be able to purchase some more Kymatica plugs!:)

  • The thought of Kymatica inside of auria is making me want to update to iOS 7.

  • has anyone tried using Alchemy inside Auria? Should I be seeing transport controls in Alchemy?

  • I don't believe they've implemented any transport controls in Alchemy.

    Rim

  • Thanks, Rim.

  • Flo, just use it with care and wisdom. Don't load too much IAA apps and Auria plugins at the same time. Unload and kill those IAA apps you have recorded, freeze tracks with lots of insert effects. Set higher buffer sizes when needed, use the 32-bit mixer, etc.

Then you can enjoy your recording sessions without hiccups or other problems.

Flo: Could be a rogue app/process running in the background. Hard reset your iPad 4 and see if it gets better (hold down the home button and power button, keep holding it until you see the Apple logo, remember that you do not let go of the buttons when the red shut down bar shows up, but keep holding it)
