Sylus: Bamboo Fineline 2 (fail)
Anyone have a Fineline 2 Stylus?
Well, not sure if anyone can identify any issues or solutions they had using one?
I spent $70 on this thing like 9 months ago and it died.
I ordered new tips thinking it was that but no dice.
I tried on 4 different iOS devices I have with varied iOS versions. NADA.
So, it isn't that.
Could Apple have changed something that could do this or is this common thing with these?
Please don't give me link to another page. I was really looking for real world anecdotal stories or comments.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Comments
Sorry I can’t help, but my story is I bought one and returned it 2 days later.
Check the reviews on Youtube before getting these kinds of things. Even if the electronics worked it's only as good as that loose fitting rubber "nub" stays on, or until you lose it. A 10 dollar stylus is nearly/equally as good.
Sorry to hear it sounds like you have a dud.
I don't have a fineline specificly but I do have a bluetooth Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2 (CS600P) for iPad. It has a hard plastic finepoint nib.
Under IOS9 it was terrible and unusable on my Air 1 or Mini2. In Procreate I would get a minute of Ok performance then my strokes would break up and lag. The pressure sensitivity was ass too. Terrible!
BUT when I upgraded to iOS 10 (and probably the new Procreate) it was great on both devices. I have used it a ton since then without any problems. In terms of performance a Cintiq is a 10, the apple pencil an 8 and my Intuous Creative stylus a 7.
There are a lot of different devices out (plus a ton of apps now) and I see reviews for my stylus that are less than flattering which mine certainly would have been had I written it pre iOS10.
