Apogee Jam works in audiobus as long as my headphones are not plugged in?
why? they are not headsets with microphones so I don't get it. It's frustrating because I do most of my writing after everyone has gone to sleep. Do I have a defective ipad? it's brand new three weeks old. ipad4 64 gigs. I have used the apogee jam with multitrack and auria with no problems..in fact I will try again now and see if it's just audiobus?
thanks okay I tried it in multri track daw without going through audio bus and it works fine...could this be a bug?

I have this same setup and don't have the issue, thought I'm sure that's not much consolation to you right now. I've read in another thread where someone mentioned checking the menu options in Multitrack DAW. You want "Input Monitor" on obviously (though it sounds like if you're getting sound when you plug straight in this is already selected). Perhaps double check that "speaker out" is not selected? Also, I'm assuming you've selected the right source in MTDaw. Wish I could be more help, but it's tough without knowing more.
Well a friend from another site helped me out. IT has to do with what you plug in first. I had to plug in the headphones and then my apogee jam into my ipad and open up audiobus and then up multitrack (after selecting the mic input which is really the jam for in the input) that seems to have done the trick...that is so strange..because it didn't seem to matter when I went directly into MTDaw or Auria! thanks anyway!!
I'm glad it's working for you now and that's good info to have. Thanks.
