@haulin_notes I've used it a few times and may use it again but not likely, personally I don’t like it and the people who watch my videos were pretty negative about it too, there are problems with it too, like you can’t switch between apps because you will then loose audio, and I got all sorts of odd sync issues, also all the audio is captured in mono, which is useless, so you have to record the audio into something else like AudioShare or like me into an external hardware recorder then sync up the audio with the video
Ahh... i see. Thanks guys for the info on the video capture! No great shakes then. Im holding out on iOS 11 to save some orphaned synths. Maybe Apple can fix it, that is after they have solved Appocalypse!
Yup, all that makes sense, thank you! there are just so many apps I have installed, that I no longer use, I think starting fresh, re-installing only what I need, sticking to AU's as much as possible will improve my experience. thanks again!
To answer's Monzo's question, I held off on iOS 11 until the Auria issues were fixed, then upgraded, and haven't had any issues. I've had slowness due to lack of disk space, but that was the case on iOS 10 as well. Since I've freed up 20 GB, it's behaving fine. BM3, Auria, AUM, Xequence and the bunch of AUs I've used with them all perform well under iOS 11.
I’ll have to try and free up some space, pretty full on this one - time for an Auria purge I think!
Still can’t run more than two model 15 AU’s though, instant crackle fest and crash as soon as I load a third, even on basic patches.
The one big problem with not updating is that it generally makes it harder to understand where bugs come from.
Android seems to be behind with music apps because of variations in hardware and software. Ios is one step ahead with hardware but the more people stay behind with software the harder job developers have at sorting it out me thinks.
Yep, I was on a real sweet spot with 10, almost no issues at all - so couldn’t relate to stuff reported by 11x users.
Have to say apart from a bit of slowness here and there, and battery performance taking a bit of a knock, it’s all been positive so far.
I'm curious. What is your samplerate at ? For me I need to use 1024 samples. Oh. And close the au window for all 3 instances in AUM. It tends to crackle when rendering the UI of any one while playing 3 copies.
Same as you really, 1024 (via the AUM settings), windows closed. I’ve got WiFi running though so maybe that’s taking a bit of juice.
Two instances is really the practical limit on Air 2 for Model 15. Three at maximum buffers, no UI movement, and if you don’t move or breathe. That’s just a function of the beast.
Moog’s lawyers intentionally made them do it this way out of concern over liability suits from people blowing their minds while using the product.
Mine is definitely slower now, but sometimes at weird times. I have to close out background apps much more often now and theres definitely freezes and sluggishness at times. I think I may do a full restore tonight or reinstall everything from scratch, that seems to help things.
My 6s died last week and I noticed that the replacement I bought is running ios11 much more smoothly as well. My 6s apparently had a hardware issue but who really knows.

It’s beginning to sound like the bad old days of Windows 98 around here.
Yes. Ios11 definitely hasn’t been so kind to older devices. It’s hard to believe I’m referring to my Air 1 as an old device but I’ve had it 4 years now, bought on release day. Not really in a spot to upgrade so I’ll do what I can with it.
My friend gave me a 64gb first gen iPad last night, runs iOS 5.1.1 pretty smoothly I must say...aside from not being able to restore alchemy all the way, just the main app, I’m surprised at how much still is able to run on it.
They don’t have to worry about this cat, I’ve watched the solstice sunrise over Stonehenge with Hawkwind blasting their crazy arp’s and Nick Turner dressed as a penguin. What were we taking about? Oh yeah, the app. I’ll stick to two instances and giggle nervously.
I'm taking the Air 2 iOS 11 plunge. See you on the other side.
I have an Air1. If I choose to update right now do I have a choice about which ios to jump to? Or do I HAVE to jump to 11?
Talk of Air2 running not so hot with ios11 gives me fear for my Air1.
You have no choice whatever. iOS will only update to the latest version available for that device. And don’t be fooled by the thought that you can revert to a backup if things don’t work out. When you restore a backup, your stuff is restored but the OS is updated to the latest version. There is no going back.
