  • Yep...Just export them to AudioShare and you're good to go. :)

  • Thanks great tutorials!

Can you do this in a batch or do I have to like assign them to a pad, sequence a hit and then do all of that stuff? I’m just trying to grab a bunch of samples in one go

  • Yes - there's a convoluted process to export sounds to other apps. Do a YouTube search and you'll get where you need to go.

Fair enough. Thanks for the info

So finally fiddling with the excellent @Fruitbat1919 tutorial above and thereafter playing around a little in the app itself. Is there no way to hook up external keys to this thing? I find it a bit of a struggle to get things right (too used to having a piano roll to fix things in), but might find it easier if I could play stuff in, rather than battering with the fat fingers on the glass....

nope, no core midi, if it had that and more tracks like 8, or even 16 It would be a contender imo, especially since you can open its projects in the desktop version. I mainly just use the expansion packs for it in BM3.

And bringing Maschine's wonderful 'time stretch audio' into iMaschine will be great..

Edit... Must add, Maschine is such an incredible piece of software..

  • Well it actually was pretty easy. Just loaded up a kit and used export to maschine, created a zip file that opened right up in Groove Rider. Although it did include more sounds than the 16 I loaded up and recorded one shots on. 58 total. Anyone know what’s up with that?

  • @db909 Velocity layers?

Ahh could be. I’ll poke around

  • Never very bothered about this guy until I got a Maschine itself and now the direct export makes this far more interesting. Anyone know if there's any way to hook up an external keyboard to the app? Can't see it....

There’s no midi capability at all.😕

Best thing you can do for yourself is export all the sounds and import them into BeatMaker

    The interwebs has tutorials

EDIT: Also super easy to bring in to NS2.....

  • Question:

Has anyone tried importing into iMachine into BlocsWave to have a mess?

    Pros or cons?

  • @asnor said:
    Anyone using it?
V.1 was one of my first apps, years ago, but I never got into it. Still giving it no love on V.2, which seems a shame as it looks like a great app. I never see any talk about it though, so maybe it's a turd? Or, maybe everyone is indifferent?
    Anyone using it?

IMaschine is and will stay a vital part of my iOS creation process

    Even for the samples alone

Agreed. It’s one of the best libraries on iOS!

So tell me ... is it that good? Workflow? What’s different about it to say, BM3 ?

  • Sample quality is second to none, but so sad because the app is so crippled . . . Good for feeding Ableton or an octatrack

  • Off topic but NI released Komplete Start earlier this year which has a tonne of free stuff from the Maschine Expansions as well as some Reaktor synths and Kontact libraries. Check it.

  • I’m always on the fence about this one. It sounds like it exists to misty just encourage you to get their desktop products. Are the samples that worth it if I’m subbed to their website library?

Played around with Maschine recently.. and rediscovered the power a kid just awesomeness of it... With all the request for Programs like Ableton and FLStudio to be ported to iOS, iMaschine is here, limited in its current state but not much is really needed. Something about sketching a project on the iPad and transferring to desktop..
Wishing for an update to iMaschine...Midi and Maschine audio engine..

BTW, one can purchase ‘just the Maschine software now’, without the hardware..

While I'd like the IOS piece to be better (more sophisticated) I love it a whole lot more now I have the hardware. Still haven't written a song with it, but the fiddling about is sufficient so far. Maybe too much fun actually....

Yep, got to put more time on really studying Maschine Jam.. Had a blast exporting to Maschine.. It really don’t need much upgrading..

  • Maybe since NI is done with hardware, they’ll put more effort into ios
