    Main thing I wish is that Apple would completely revamp the way you interface with the iPad. You ought to be able to access your iPad just like any computer or drive and freely copy, delete, backup content without the Byzantine nightmare that is iTunes. Also, access to standard USB peripherals like drives, audio/MIDI interfaces, keyboards etc. should be no more restricted than any desktop computer. Seems like a lot of the limitations of the iOS platform are because Apple has it so locked down.

    A universal sequencer app that allows precise shifting/nudging of notes or drum hits off the quantized grid. Arturia Spark does this well, but I’d love to have something on the device I always have with me. BeatHawk could differentiate themselves by implementing this.

    A proper task manager. I mean really. To help discover ram thives, battery parasites, ghost apps and the likes. Probably never gonna happen though, due to Apples paranoia towards revealing whats going on under the hood.

    Recycle-like loop chopping that preserves the original groove. It is the superior way to change length/pitch without artifacts. GB does this somewhat, the Apple Loop format is a knockoff of the .rex format, but you can't make your own loops.

    BM3 can save a sliced sample as an 'Apple Loop' that works perfectly in GarageBand :)

    Does it keep original groove? Doesn't robotisize it by snapping everything to the 16th note grid?

    Blamsoft Resampler as well. Very capable little app.

    yes I tried Blamsoft re sampler but in all my DAW's it makes the sound drift from left to right like theres slow autopanning going on..weird.

    stereo expanders - only one I found was within the zMors eq where you can delay timing on the left/right channel for stereo wide sound spreading .

    We're talking about being able to freely access the iPad's file system like on MacOS, Windows, Linux etc.
    Files cannot give you that, it cannot even give access to any app's data storage, neither can it access external storage like USB drives.
    "Files" has the same restrictions as iTunes that many of us have been complaining about for years.
    I understand Apple being very restrictive for iOS on the iPhone, but on an iPad the users should at least have the choice to open the file system on their own risk, without being forced to jailbreak.
    Some iPads are more expensive than a Macbook Air, so it's probably not a bad idea to be able to use it to a halfway similar extent. Not being able to do so has kept me from buying a new iPad for a few years now.

    looks like resampler plugin, able to sample other AU plugin and create multisampled instrument is in average most requested :-)

    so.. somebody should jump on it and create it :-) .. maybe @brambos :-)))

    Depends on how the markers were set prior to saving it as an Apple Loop.

    I never trust any form of automatic marker placement and do it by hand which is perfectly fine for 1-4 bar lopps :)
    Have not noticed any 'robotic' feel when importing to GarageBand.

    Xequence has a pretty full-featured pianoroll editor (and all other kinds of editors :)) that allows you to turn off the grid and move at 192 PPQ resolution..

    An AU that was able to play sample melodically would do me.....I'd sample elsewhere if I had to ;)

    I can see the potential for them adding files access to external storage and a new “on device” root folder that’s not dependent on cloud storage. But I’d suppose unpublished App folders would still remain inaccessible

    You have my attention. Is it a thing where I'm dragging the note, or is there a way to precisely nudge it by one of those 192 pulses?

    OK, there's no specific function for moving a note by PPQ or one grid step, however, you can zoom in very close (either by pinching or "Zoom to Selection"), and when dragging the handle, you would see the note move by separate steps, each of which would be one tick/pulse.

    Sounds good, and fairly painless with the zoom to selection button. I'll give it a try, and if you ever do find a place where a nudge button fit in, I'll give it more than that.

    OK great. I didn't think this feature would be needed very often (extreme fine-adjustment of timing) -- but I do remember the little "Footkick" buttons from my Cubase days, I think they did just that. :)

    BTW, has anyone thought about building their own IAA FX suite using PureData creations inside MobMuPlat? PureData is quite powerful, and the AppStore is missing so many things...
    I've just started and made a super-simple delay with feedback, but I'm sure a lot more could be done.
