Fugue and midi routing settings retention
Hi all, first post here! I've just asked the dev but wanted to check if maybe there was someone had experienced this before:
I have two ipads; an old iPad2 with 9.3.5 and the latest version of Fugue (1.4.0.3) I am using my own pattern which is set to send midi out from all heads to the Dxi synth set to channel 5 midi, internal synth off. Whenever I finish this session and close the app completely, if I open it later it will open with the last patch I used and with all the midi routing and settings intact.
I have 12.9" iPad pro with iOS11.1.1 and the same version of Fugue and when I do the exact same thing as above the app opens with the last pattern used but all the settings are defaulted back to using the internal synth, midi routing forgotten and I have to manually set everything again.
It's a small issue but I have a live show coming up and was counting on the app to remember the settings with each pattern or at the very least to preserver the settings as they were when last used.
I tried re-installing the app. I tried copying the backed up patterns from the ipad2 to the iPad pro so they are both using the exact same patch but no luck.
Can you help?

A workaround could be using AB3 and its state saving capability
thanks for the reply, I did try that, also I did the same in AUM and they both load up the correct pattern in Fugue and patch in DXI but Fugue will default to play back using the internal synth. I would assume this is the functionality but then on the ipad 2 it always loads with the last settings used.
I will try at home in a few minutes and see what going on
Appreciated, thank you
Just did a couple of test runs and while I can confirm that in standalone is not able to recall last used state I had no troubles with audiobus.
I loaded FM as a midi source in AB3 pointed to a synth, saved the AB patch, closed everything, reopened AB and loaded the latter preset. Didn’t have any need to save pattern in FM
that's great, thanks for testing it out. I thought I had tried a similar setup but probably missed a step, I'll give it shot later and report back, thanks again.
I'm having similar problems with Fugue Machine. I does not recall the midi mapping in stand-alone or through Audiobus saved preset.
Yeah not having much luck, AB recalls the DXi patch but then you press play from AB nothing happens , you need to go to the synth or fugue and then it starts playing, not always. It’s ok but not reliable. Hopefully it can be fixed at some stage.
Hey all, I just submitted an update with a fix. Apologies for the trouble, and thanks to @lerosa for the tip and letting me know about this thread.
Also, there's a TestFlight version available if anyone would like to help beta test. If so, please send an email to [email protected] and I'll send you an invite :]
thank you kind sir! I'll get to it shortly, cheers!
This great app would be even more awesome if it was AU enabled
