The iPad Pro 2018 will be like BAM!!
7nm! 8 Cores - 4 GB RAM
Comments
Better have 8gb RAM
BABOOM!
4gb ram and plenty of audio crackles.
Lol!
Perhaps then Celemony finally will port Melodyne to iOS...
Years from now, kids will be talking about the crackles with admiration, like people do today with vinyl.
There'll be crackle emulators for that classic sound ...
Got to be 8gb ram, edge to edge screen like on the X would be very nice too, Not going to happen though is it? I can see there might be a reason to upgrade my 2015 version in about 2021... maybe
Once iOS 11.1 arrived, I haven’t seemed to have any problems since (at least not in Gadget and Beathawk). I won’t need me a new iPad Pro for a good solid 5 years at least.
In 2 or 3 years there'll be Apps that need so much CPU, if you want more than 1 or 2 instances you'll need to upgrade....
But by then, with all these new programming languages and new frameworks and suchlike, software will be so much more efficient it’ll hardly need any ram or cpu to get it all done in no time.
And software makers will have had the courage to move on from the subscription model to the prescription model.
Question:
When does Apple finally make THE LEAP? The ipad pro that can load OS X, or the MacBook with a touchscreen, or however they configure it. My guess is about two years. 2020, I envision (pun intended).
Nice dream, but unlikely. Frameworks usually add complexity and that means more CPU is used for the same thing. Not exactly the same thing, just a similar thing with more options.
Nothing is more efficient than a specialized code for a specialized task with nothing else added, which is not needed for the specific application.
IOS Quantum?
Infinity Drive
Virtual RAM
Adjustable projecting HD screen
No crackles because no headphone port. Progress chaps. Onwards ...
OK, i have learned my lesson. "BAM" is the wrong word, especially for the headline. An informative link would have been nice, too. OK.
Note to me: Learn your lessons!
The only thing that’ll make me lust for a new iPad pro would be 3D touch...
The OLED screen will be nice but not do anything for my music. Same with better CPU, I rarely use more than 30-35% cpu on my 2017 pro.
Beyond that, it would take more desktop-class apps that my current pro struggles with or can’t handle and/or MacOS X to tempt me to upgrade in the next few years.
