DigiTech FreqOut ios equivalent?

Creates harmonic feedback without distortion. Is there an ios way to get this?

Comments

  • OK... 3 years laters is there NOT a decent feedback emulator for IOS users?
Maybe in one of the new AUv3 Guitar Amp/FX products?

  • You could get something close with Objeq

    FreqOut is a great pedal

  • Does FreqOut work for polyphonic signals?

Yes, in the sense that you can play a chord, but then it works in a similar fashion to real feedback between guitar pickups and speakers.

With real feedback, you never get the whole chord to sustain, like you would holding down a chord on a keyboard synth. Eventually one pitch will bloom that will sustain much longer than the other pitches. The Freqout works similarly.

Maybe if you split guitar signal so one goes to Yonac Roxsyn and it run it in parallel with the normal guitar tone.

Patch Roxsyn to synthesize the feedback tone. Freqout lets you select between auto-swell with a knob that's like the Attack of an ADSR envelope section, or using the footswitch to activate the feedback. I think Roxsyn has ASDR at least, though I could be wrong.

Frequout also lets you select between feedback harmonics - eg. 1st, 2nd, etc. I think 1st is just the fundamental pitch, which should be easy enough to do in Roxsyn. Not sure about the others. The trickiest to emulate might be the Natural Low and High harmonic type settings, as the resultant feedback tone is not as coupled to the input pitch.

  • This Amplitube pedal is the closest thing i’ve Found:
