Just a thought, is it possible that they are sending out 64bit only builds of the last version?

That is quite possibly the reason. The new versions seem to be smaller, and these kinds of updates are not appearing on 32bit iPads.

No 32 bit iPads are running IOS 11 and the “amazing new appstore”.
Anyway, if ii is the case, i find it arrogant beyond belief for Apple to fuck with the version history this way without telling anyone - not even the developers.

well it is also happening to iPads on iOS10 so it is not only a glitch of the new app store. in any case, it is very mysterious, and I agree if it is "a feature not a bug" then they should tell people and developers

  • Me too and was dumb enough to update it and now crashes :/

I got an update for Samplewiz from 2016

  • Maybe this isn't a bug or a glitch. Maybe Apple is pushing out a new signing certificate. Can any devs confirm?

  • Very annoying. They are still coming in.

Yeah that seems to be the case here.

    I can confirm

Do you have a source for that?

  • strange is it affects only music apps, no other apps

If this goes to its logical conclusion I hope we don’t end up with Commodore 64 or Spectrum, ’cos I never had those – I had Jupiter Ace and Dragon 64 instead.

Hey, C64 would be pretty good for music but maybe we'll go even further back to ZX81 or something similar

No, it's all kinds of apps – yesterday even GoodReader was affected. We probably just notice the music apps more because we have stupid numbers of them…

  • I had to get rid of the damn red bubble, so I took the plunge and updated them all on my phone, checking the latest version in the app first if I could...no harm done so far.

  • I accidentally updated them all and no problems so far. I’m of the opinion they are all the last updates and just updating certificates

  • Yeah I can confirm they’re all fine. And I have pretty much everything so you’re all good to go.

App Store seems terribly broken! Today I discovered that my apps AudioShare and SECTOR are gone from App Store, for some unknown reason. Now waiting for a reply from Apple... :( feeling angry

UPDATE: seems to be back now!

  • Got an update of Shoom today with a hint about what’s going on.
    It says:
”This update is signed with Apple’s latest signing cerificate.
    No new features are included.”
    Whatever that means.
