Recording fairlight app into Cubasis -Solved
I treated myself to the fairlight app but so far have been unable to record it into Cubasis.
When I try IAA I get either no sound, an error message to relaunch it or it crashes Cubasis completely.
When I try Audiobus it mutes all audio, including the metronome and any other tracks, the only option is to quit Cubasis and relaunch it. The fairlight track does record but it’s very quite and after you normalise it you can also hear that background noise from the room has also been recorded, very odd.
Hope somebody can help and tell me what I’m doing wrong.
Comments
Last time I tried to record the CMI Pro (Fairlight) I routed it thru AudioBus.
(Only reason being I needed multiple tracks and Loading/Unloading IAA-Instances fragments the memory like mad).
That’s why I was going to use Audiobus too
Ok I’m going to feel pretty stupid now but it helps if you get your inputs and outputs in Audiobus round the right way DOH!
